Valter Pinhal was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Homero Cordeiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Homero Cordeiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Pedro Coutinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Manuel Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the match, Avelino Carreira notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Manuel Teles. Manuel Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Noel Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Pinhal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Devils's Valter Pinhal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Vilas Boas in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Manuel Teles got control of the ball when Avelino Carreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Devils getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ronaldo Vilaça hit a great ball. Devils's attentive Rui Fidalgo managed to snatch the ball when Hildeberto Soveral made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Valter Pinhal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Vilas Boas in the 61st minute of play. In the 70th minute, Noel Vilas Boas made a precise shot to the right of Valter Pinhal. Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After some careless play in the Devils defense, Noel Vilas Boas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valter Pinhal. The Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valter Pinhal should have stopped the shot. Avelino Carreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Manuel Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Avelino Carreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4.
