Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Barroco's Damião Rebocho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damião Rebocho in the 4th minute of play forced SC Nabais's goalkeeper Aristides Laureano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Barroco getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Benedito Quintas hit a great ball. If Damião Rebocho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SC Nabais's Afonso Menezes in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barroco's goalie prevented a goal. When Afonso Menezes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the SC Nabais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Menezes couldn't finish the play. In the 14th match minute, Barroco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Quintas to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Lucena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Barroco getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sálvio Soeiro hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Quintino Regalado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Barroco's Aprígio Modesto didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute Cândido Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aprígio Modesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damião Rebocho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aristides Laureano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damião Rebocho in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Damião Rebocho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cândido Martins was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Afonso Menezes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martinho Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Laureano having to interfere. The supporters of SC Nabais booed when Barroco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Nabais's Aristides Laureano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damião Rebocho in the 60th minute of play. The referee ignored Barroco's protests and gave Benedito Quintas a yellow card for diving instead. 64 minutes into the match, Quintino Regalado sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Aprígio Modesto threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Quintino Regalado this time. In the 65th minute, Martinho Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Barroco's Ivan Sarmento got a free kick in the 71st minute. Quintino Regalado didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Nabais had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
