Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cândido Martins made the kick off which started today's match. When Cândido Martins came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the SC Nabais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Martins couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, SC Nabais's Zarco Couto threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cândido Martins, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Bernard Pieprz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aristides Laureano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Pieprz, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 11th minute, Afonso Menezes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Homer FC booed when SC Nabais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Homer FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Homer FC's Jacob Veríssimo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Eiró during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Nabais! Afonso Menezes struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Zarco Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Nabais. Afonso Menezes might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarco Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Menezes ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogério Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Menezes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Zarco Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristides Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alípio Lemos in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Rareș Bobocea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Homer FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Aristides Laureano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob Veríssimo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half Homer FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Bernard Pieprz fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Homer FC's protests and gave Bernard Pieprz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Homer FC's Bernard Pieprz got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes Homer FC got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Granja. In the 58th play minute Rareș Bobocea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aristides Laureano. 0-4. Rareș Bobocea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Afonso Menezes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacob Veríssimo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute Afonso Menezes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alípio Lemos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rareș Bobocea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Corte-Real was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Homer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Nabais the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Hermenegildo Corte-Real hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 85 minutes, Rareș Bobocea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Homer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rareș Bobocea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacob Veríssimo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aristides Laureano having to make a save. If Afonso Menezes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Afonso Menezes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Homer FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
