Hermano Resende made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Xavier Neiva sent off a good shot on target. Iker Peru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Baldaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Algares fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabino Pinheiro was the one to do the kick off. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iker Peru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee ignored Samorim FC's protests and gave Xavier Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Xavier Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Xavier Neiva notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of SC Algares's Hermano Resende. Hermano Resende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Samorim FC's Alex Mendes in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Algares's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute Alex Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermano Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Algares defense, Alex Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermano Resende. The SC Algares fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermano Resende should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Samorim FC could leave the field as winners, despite SC Algares having more of the ball for most of the match.
