Karlos Bencoiechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Bernardes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Júdice in the 13th minute of play forced CD Nacional's goalkeeper Guilherme Pegado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, CD Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Laurentino Ruas came free, but Guilherme Pegado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Pegado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Júdice in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to CD Nacional getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Elias Teofilio hit a great ball. Leonardo Borges took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guilherme Pegado. CD Nacional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the CD Nacional defense, Laurentino Ruas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilherme Pegado. The CD Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilherme Pegado should have stopped the shot. Guilherme Pegado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Júdice in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Karlos Bencoiechea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Roberto Bernardes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvestre Regalado charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Regalado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfredo Júdice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karlos Bencoiechea in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, SC Pomaraco's Roberto Bernardes got control of the ball when Karlos Bencoiechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karlos Bencoiechea made a kick off. After some careless play in the SC Pomaraco defense, Silvestre Regalado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Bernardes. The SC Pomaraco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Bernardes should have stopped the shot. In the 54th minute Karlos Bencoiechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Bernardes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Henriques in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Sabino Teles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guilherme Pegado. Sabino Teles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 64th minute, Leonardo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurentino Ruas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Guilherme Pegado made a huge save. CD Nacional's Sálvio Gois was substituted for Zeferino Amaro. Roberto Bernardes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Regalado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurentino Ruas got free with Guilherme Pegado in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dário Travassos hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A collision led to SC Pomaraco getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Hélio Saraiva hit a great ball. Matias Severiano missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 87 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Roberto Bernardes right hand side. When Sabino Teles came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SC Pomaraco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Teles couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, CD Nacional's 康鹰明 got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Guilherme Pegado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurentino Ruas in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, CD Nacional's Elias Silveira got a free kick in the 95th minute. Guilherme Pegado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leonardo Borges. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
