Ricardo Ponte scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Anjos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Inácio Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Palhal FC's António Anjos got control of the ball when Severiano Frois tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Mancos Unidos got a corner. António Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teófilo Poças, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Frois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Severiano Frois made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teófilo Poças in the 53rd minute of play forced Palhal FC's goalkeeper António Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Delfim Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mancos Unidos's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
