Leonel Caeiro came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Samorim FC's Xavier Neiva. But to his dismay, Xavier Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Castelo Branco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Mendes came free, but Leonel Caeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Alex Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samorim FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Portugal got free with Iker Peru in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Armindo Padilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Xavier Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Mendes in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Caeiro saved Castelo Branco FC from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xavier Neiva was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Samorim FC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Joaquim Amado hit a great ball. Leonel Caeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Castelo Branco FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Cordeiro. Valério Portugal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Joaquim Amado struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Leonel Caeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samorim FC. Iker Peru came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Castelo Branco FC's Valério Portugal. But to his dismay, Valério Portugal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The audience was convinced that Xavier Neiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Caeiro was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Castelo Branco FC's Leonel Caeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Neiva in the 69th minute of play. Alex Mendes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Leonel Caeiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iker Peru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Padilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Caeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Mendes in the 74th minute. Samorim FC's Iker Peru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Padilha in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Xavier Neiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonel Caeiro. That made the score 1-4 in the 78 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Neiva got free with Leonel Caeiro in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Caeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Mendes in the 86th minute of the match. Leonel Caeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Samorim FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Castelo Branco FC.
