After 18 played minutes CD Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Elias Teofilio. 21 minutes into the match, CD Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Castro came free, but Guilherme Pegado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Santarém charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Santarém the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Silvestre Regalado could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Regalado in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Anjos saved Palhal FC from getting behind. CD Nacional's Sálvio Gois was substituted for Zeferino Amaro. After having played for 76 minutes, Karlos Bencoiechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karlos Bencoiechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvestre Regalado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Anjos having to interfere. João Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. António Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlos Bencoiechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Palhal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Regalado came free, but António Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palhal FC's António Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Regalado in the 95th minute of play.
