In the 27th minute Adalberto Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adalberto Varela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dário Lemos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The JUVELEO FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when JUVELEO FC's Adalberto Varela looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Armando Aleixo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. In the 91st minute, Armando Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as JUVELEO FC's Dário Lemos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Leite. That made the score 1-4 after 92 minutes of play. The supporters of JUVELEO FC booed when Arcangel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Arcangel fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. JUVELEO FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
