Manuel Eiró recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Achille Cardano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the game, Achille Cardano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Paulo Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hermenegildo Brandão kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Rui Gueifão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Achille Cardano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Achille Cardano came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Herois Do Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Achille Cardano couldn't finish the play. Achille Cardano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Leite having to interfere. Alex Connell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Eiró in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui Gueifão to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Gueifão in the 77th minute of play forced Herois Do Mar's goalkeeper Alex Connell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Herois Do Mar's Gervásio Varanda got a free kick in the 77th minute. Rui Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermenegildo Brandão in the 89th minute of play. Achille Cardano struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Paulo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herois Do Mar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arcangel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Herois Do Mar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
