In the 28th minute Valdemar Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plácido Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Valdemar Vieira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Plácido Corte-Real, passed just outside the right post. FC HMR's Valdemar Vieira was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.

Plácido Corte-Real showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Jacinto Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored €uros's protests and gave Fernando Corte-Real a yellow card for diving instead. Plácido Corte-Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in €uros's zone, Valdemar Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plácido Corte-Real came out of the goal and Valdemar Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the FC HMR players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
