The audience thought a goal was coming when André Carvalheira got free with Alex Connell in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentina Stars's Jairo Assis got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Herois Do Mar's goalkeeper Alex Connell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Carvalheira. After a defensive mix-up in Herois Do Mar's zone, André Carvalheira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Connell came out of the goal and André Carvalheira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If André Carvalheira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Herois Do Mar's goalkeeper Alex Connell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gervásio Varanda made a kick off. When André Carvalheira came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Valentina Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Carvalheira couldn't finish the play. Achille Cardano got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Achille Cardano kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alex Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Carvalheira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that André Carvalheira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Connell was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Herois Do Mar's Alex Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Assis in the 58th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Connell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute Tarcísio Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Connell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Carvalheira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentina Stars's Jerónimo Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Varanda in the 94th minute of play. André Carvalheira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Connell having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Valentina Stars had played much better football throughout.
