Sandrinho Lackey struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Juvenal Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Apressados. Juvenal Soeiro was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Idalécio Cabral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Idalécio Cabral really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 17th minute, Idalécio Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, Borralhoso FC's Juvenal Soeiro got control of the ball when Idalécio Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Apressados's goalkeeper Igor Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Idalécio Cabral fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 37th minute, Borralhoso FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sandrinho Lackey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 37 minutes into the game, Nivaldo Torcato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borralhoso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Apressados the free kick. Sandrinho Lackey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Soeiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Borralhoso FC's zone, Idalécio Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Soeiro came out of the goal and Idalécio Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Apressados's Silvano Quintela was substituted for Rafael Severiano. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sandrinho Lackey made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, David Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Apressados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borralhoso FC the free kick. The supporters of Borralhoso FC booed when SC Apressados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Borralhoso FC's Ivan Esteves got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Sandrinho Lackey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Apressados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Lackey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palmiro Sales's late challenge caught a SC Apressados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Palmiro Sales helped the player get up and apologised. Palmiro Sales kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Sandrinho Lackey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Sandrinho Lackey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Apressados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandrinho Lackey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Idalécio Cabral in the 68th minute of play forced Borralhoso FC's goalkeeper Juvenal Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Apressados's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvano Quintela in the 70th minute. Sandrinho Lackey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Borralhoso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Lackey came free, but Juvenal Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, David Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Apressados's supporters rose to their feet, but David Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Idalécio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Quintela charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Quintela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Apressados getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Silvano Quintela hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Apressados's zone, Silvano Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Branco came out of the goal and Silvano Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Idalécio Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Soeiro having to interfere. Sandrinho Lackey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Juvenal Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Borralhoso FC got a freekick which was hit by Palmiro Sales. SC Apressados's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
