SLVidigueira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SEGAFREDO CF the free kick. Filipe Chagas hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Alcino Santiago put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Estevão Montenegro. Estevão Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alcino Santiago's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 38 minutes into the match, Silvério Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Estevão Montenegro. SLVidigueira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. SLVidigueira's Estevão Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Homero Cerqueira in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, SLVidigueira's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Quadros came free, but Estevão Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Quadros made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 53rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Estevão Montenegro would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Alcino Santiago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Estevão Montenegro was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Sabrosa during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Alcino Santiago sped through SLVidigueira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Estevão Montenegro. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Silvério Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. SEGAFREDO CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estevão Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SEGAFREDO CF's Erik Langås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Montenegro in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SLVidigueira's zone, Silvério Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estevão Montenegro came out of the goal and Silvério Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SEGAFREDO CF fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when SEGAFREDO CF's Silvério Quadros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvério Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Estevão Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Tomás Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Langås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Santiago in the 96th minute of play forced SLVidigueira's goalkeeper Estevão Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alcino Santiago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Estevão Montenegro was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. SEGAFREDO CF played a much better game than SLVidigueira and deserved their victory. The SLVidigueira players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
