The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dimas Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Óscar Macieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Dimas Gomes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 16 minutes of play, Inter Porto's Nélson Ventura made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimas Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gregório Cerqueira took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hipólito Montenegro. Hipólito Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Hipólito Montenegro came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Sinterra FC's Dimas Andrade. But to his dismay, Dimas Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. When Sinterra FC's Óscar Macieira in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Porto's goalie prevented a goal. Hipólito Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Herberto Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Macieira scored 2-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hipólito Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th match minute, Inter Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederico Marques to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Inter Porto's Frederico Marques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimas Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hipólito Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óscar Macieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Inter Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. When Dimas Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Sinterra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimas Andrade couldn't finish the play. Frederico Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimas Gomes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sinterra FC's zone, Frederico Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Gomes came out of the goal and Frederico Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nélson Ventura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulino Figueira kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Macieira in the 68th minute of play forced Inter Porto's goalkeeper Hipólito Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Inter Porto getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Graciano Guerreiro hit a great ball. Graciano Guerreiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimas Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graciano Guerreiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Sinterra FC defense, Frederico Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimas Gomes. The Sinterra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimas Gomes should have stopped the shot. Dimas Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hipólito Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Marques scored 4-3 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimas Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baltasar Rebocho hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
