Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Diamantino Palhares made the kick off and thus started the match. Estevão Montenegro came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Os Lagartos's André Falcão. But to his dismay, André Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. André Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevão Montenegro having to interfere. In the 17th minute Diamantino Palhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estevão Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Estevão Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Diamantino Palhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Os Lagartos's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Palhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estevão Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced Os Lagartos's goalkeeper Gusmão Vilarinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Chagas in the 28th minute of play forced Os Lagartos's goalkeeper Gusmão Vilarinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvano Rebocho hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes, Os Lagartos's Leonel Carmona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Estevão Montenegro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Os Lagartos reached it. Diamantino Palhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Estevão Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Os Lagartos's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Chagas came free, but Gusmão Vilarinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Os Lagartos's Zacarias Cordeiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Estevão Montenegro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Montenegro to make the kick off. André Falcão struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Estevão Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Os Lagartos. After having played for 54 minutes, Zacarias Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Lagartos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Amaral in the 56th minute of play forced SLVidigueira's goalkeeper Estevão Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SLVidigueira's zone, André Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estevão Montenegro came out of the goal and André Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Estevão Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diamantino Palhares went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Estevão Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Cordeiro in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Os Lagartos's Diamantino Palhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Estevão Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 74th minute, Diamantino Palhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Chagas got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Os Lagartos booed when SLVidigueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Chagas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Diamantino Palhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diamantino Palhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Estevão Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
