An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Soeiro in the 4th minute of play forced Chapecoense's goalkeeper Kaan Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Kaan Navas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 8 minutes into the match, Chapecoense's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Soeiro came free, but Kaan Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesualdo Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play, Chapecoense's Altino Faria made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwidon Topolski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Cunha got free with Kaan Navas in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romão Bentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gwidon Topolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaan Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesualdo Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bento Soeiro got free with Kaan Navas in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the game, Garth Shaw cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kaan Navas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes in the game Garth Shaw did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nuno Cunha. In the 43rd minute Jesualdo Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaan Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Rickard Linquist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaan Navas. Rickard Linquist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Isidro Avelar's late challenge caught a Chapecoense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Avelar helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trevor Edwards was the one to do the kick off. Chapecoense's attentive Moises Urdaspal managed to snatch the ball when Garth Shaw made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Kaan Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Soeiro in the 59th minute of the match. Jesualdo Fraga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaan Navas having to make a save. Aristides Gouveia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 minutes of play, SC CARVALHIDO's Nuno Cunha made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaan Navas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chapecoense's Kaan Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Cunha in the 76th minute of play. Kaan Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Soeiro in the 79th minute of play. Kaan Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trevor Edwards got free with Gwidon Topolski in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jesualdo Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC CARVALHIDO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesualdo Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaan Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Cunha struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kaan Navas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC CARVALHIDO. Bento Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Kaan Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC CARVALHIDO fully deserved thier win.
