A collision led to Geriatricos FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Paulo Velasques hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Raimundo Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horácio Festas was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. If Raimundo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, Geriatricos FC's goalkeeper Horácio Festas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Salgado. After 38 played minutes Raimundo Salgado could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 6-0 into the left cross. Siro Oro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Horácio Festas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vareiros FC. In the 44th minute Raimundo Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Festas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Benevides to make the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Vareiros FC's Raimundo Salgado made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 71 played minutes Geriatricos FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Santarém. When Siro Oro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Vareiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Oro couldn't finish the play. Lourenço Paiva made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tomás Carneiro however managed to control. Jacob Lessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geriatricos FC's Horácio Festas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Salgado in the 83rd minute of play. After 83 played minutes Geriatricos FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Mascarenhas. Horácio Festas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 minutes Geriatricos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Siro Oro who took care of the corner kick. Emanuel Travassos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Salgado in the 90th minute of play forced Geriatricos FC's goalkeeper Horácio Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Craig Crowley hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Raimundo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
