If Manuel Caldeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Januário Colaço stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lourenço Gama's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Januário Colaço was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caetano das Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Isac Gueifão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Folga's Reinaldo Azeredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Severino Candeias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Folga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armadouro the free kick. Severino Candeias hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lourenço Gama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Folga's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Gama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Januário Colaço breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Caldeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Januário Colaço read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Durval Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute.
