Pedro Macena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Alberto Mota came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the G. D. PENICHE V2 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Mota couldn't finish the play. Saúl Zambujal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Liberato in the 21st minute of play. Alberto Mota succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 24th playminute. 26 minutes into the game, Alberto Pimenta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Pedro Macena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes in the game Almiro Santarém got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Tato Orihuela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Macena having to make a save. The supporters of Maia AC booed when G. D. PENICHE V2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almiro Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tato Orihuela came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the G. D. PENICHE V2 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tato Orihuela couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel Liberato stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Macena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Pimenta in the 53rd minute of play. Tato Orihuela made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Maia AC's Pedro Carvalheira. Pedro Macena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firme Hirte, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Pedro Macena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Mota in the 67th minute of play. Tato Orihuela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Macena having to interfere. Nestor Cresenciano, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pedro Macena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tato Orihuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Tato Orihuela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Macena was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Alberto Mota scored 9-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Macena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
