The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Máximo Câmara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Monte Lobato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chu Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chu Tasso couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's Chu Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Vilhena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Máximo Câmara got free with Monte Lobato in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The nice shot from Máximo Câmara in the 12thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Monte Lobato had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 13 minutes Tasso FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bo Glad who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Imbativeis SC's corner Bo Glad fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Monte Lobato quite easily take care of the ball. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Lages in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the Tasso FC defense, Januário Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Monte Lobato. The Tasso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Monte Lobato should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Máximo Câmara made a precise shot to the right of Monte Lobato. Tasso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Monte Lobato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Lages, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Lúcio Lages shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aprígio Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, József Deák hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Imbativeis SC's Raul Vilhena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chu Tasso in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Máximo Câmara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Monte Lobato. Máximo Câmara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chu Tasso to make the kick off. Tasso FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Imbativeis SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Machado Assis took the corner. Monte Lobato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Câmara in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Imbativeis SC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. József Deák hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Santos Benet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raul Vilhena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Chu Tasso in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raul Vilhena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 61st minute, Lúcio Lages left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imbativeis SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Raul Vilhena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chu Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Monte Lobato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Glad in the 65th minute of the match. After 67 minutes, Chu Tasso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tasso FC and the Imbativeis SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tasso FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bo Glad was slow to take the kick. During this time Imbativeis SC's players had a chance to rest. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Glad in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Tasso FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Juca Tasso hit a great ball. The supporters of Imbativeis SC booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juca Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Januário Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Monte Lobato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Gilmour hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Imbativeis SC fully deserved thier win.
