With a little luck, Pato Bravo FC's Ionică Olăroiu got control of the ball when Felix Baicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match Aloísio Raposo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ionică Olăroiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Felix Baicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milfontes United's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Baicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Olăroiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Milfontes United's Luís Travassos in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pato Bravo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pato Bravo FC's Ionică Olăroiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Baicu in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Pato Bravo FC's goalkeeper Ionică Olăroiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Baicu. Felix Baicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Heiki Karus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milfontes United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pato Bravo FC the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Milfontes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiki Karus to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Milfontes United's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Viveiros came free, but Romeu De Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Raul Viana made a precise shot to the right of Ionică Olăroiu. Pato Bravo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cristiano Miranda's late challenge caught a Milfontes United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Cristiano Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Ionică Olăroiu made a huge save. Romeu De Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Assunção in the 40th minute of play. Ionică Olăroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romão Pimentel in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddy Sheets in the 45th minute of play forced Milfontes United's goalkeeper Romeu De Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Pato Bravo FC were awarded a corner. Reinaldo Queiroga went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Pato Bravo FC's corner Reinaldo Queiroga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romeu De Sousa quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Romeu De Sousa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Veríssimo Rebocho. Ionică Olăroiu came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Milfontes United's Felix Baicu. But to his dismay, Felix Baicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Veríssimo Rebocho hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sérgio Palhares took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Olăroiu. Ionică Olăroiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 64th minute of the match Jorge Macedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ionică Olăroiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ionică Olăroiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Travassos's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Heiki Karus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romão Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Olăroiu having to interfere. Ionică Olăroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Baicu in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Felix Baicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Olăroiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Milfontes United got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Raposo. In the 90thth minute of the game Felix Baicu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pato Bravo FC's Ionică Olăroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Baicu in the 93rd minute of play forced Pato Bravo FC's goalkeeper Ionică Olăroiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, one of Pato Bravo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pato Bravo FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Milfontes United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pato Bravo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
