Ionică Olăroiu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gil Vargas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Dream Team FC's Vicente Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Sheets in the 41st minute of play. Dream Team FC's Aquilino Póvoas got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Pato Bravo FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pedro Assunção hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dream Team FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reinaldo Queiroga was slow to take the kick. During this time Pato Bravo FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 53rd minute, Rui Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquilino Póvoas's late challenge caught a Pato Bravo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Póvoas helped the player get up and apologised. 56 minutes into the match, Ciaran McNee notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Dream Team FC's Vicente Simões. Vicente Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th match minute, Dream Team FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Vargas to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Dream Team FC's goalkeeper Vicente Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddy Sheets. Eddy Sheets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Vicente Simões made a huge save. If Aquilino Póvoas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Olăroiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerónimo Raminhos in the 78th minute of the match.
