In the 3rd match minute, GOODBYE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Zarco Lessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zarco Lessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Alexandre Chagas made a huge save. Alexandre Chagas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry McDermott in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, scvalenciano's Barry McDermott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Chagas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Barry McDermott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Chagas. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. scvalenciano's Barry McDermott got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Emilio Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Guterres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With his leg Alexandre Chagas managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when scvalenciano's Zarco Lessa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Osvaldo Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GOODBYE getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Osvaldo Matias hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Emilio Ayala sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Chagas skillfully saved the ball. scvalenciano's Zarco Lessa got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute of the match, Zarco Lessa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alexandre Chagas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. GOODBYE's Alexandre Chagas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry McDermott in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Alexandre Chagas came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by scvalenciano's Barry McDermott. But to his dismay, Barry McDermott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, Zarco Lessa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Chagas. GOODBYE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zarco Lessa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 65th minute Barry McDermott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Chagas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Chagas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry McDermott in the 70th minute of the match. 6-0 became the score in the 72nd minute when Barry McDermott elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in GOODBYE's zone, Barry McDermott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Chagas came out of the goal and Barry McDermott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zarco Lessa scored 7-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Chagas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. scvalenciano's Zarco Lessa got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Chagas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry McDermott in the 87th minute of play. Catarino Guterres's late challenge caught a scvalenciano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Guterres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Catarino Guterres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes GOODBYE got a freekick which was hit by Almiro Vasconcelos. Barry McDermott struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alexandre Chagas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for scvalenciano. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. scvalenciano fully deserved thier win.
