Barry McDermott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry McDermott in the 15th minute of play forced SC Magusteiro's goalkeeper José Chagas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarco Lessa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. SC Magusteiro's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Barry McDermott 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. José Chagas came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by scvalenciano's Barry McDermott. But to his dismay, Barry McDermott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. José Chagas had great luck who in the 37thth minute grab hold of the ball when Barry McDermott from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. scvalenciano were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after SC Magusteiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barry McDermott took the corner. Barry McDermott made a great header on scvalenciano's corner, it was just that SC Magusteiro's José Chagas managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Marcelo Seabra put in a rough tackle. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for scvalenciano! In the 44th match minute, scvalenciano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Benevides to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Manoel Guimarães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Magusteiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.

Isidoro Assunção's late challenge caught a scvalenciano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Assunção helped the player get up and apologised. Isidoro Assunção hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manoel Guimarães in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 59 minutes, Zarco Lessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. scvalenciano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zarco Lessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After taking down the ball on scvalenciano's corner Barry McDermott fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Chagas quite easily take care of the ball. In the 75th minute Emilio Ayala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chagas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarco Lessa struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. José Chagas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for scvalenciano. SC Magusteiro made a substitution. Frederico Lameirinhas replaced Osman Gazi. Egídio Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ricardo Baía sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Baía sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Vivien Risser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Chagas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. scvalenciano were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after SC Magusteiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barry McDermott took the corner. SC Magusteiro's José Chagas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarco Lessa in the 90th minute of play. scvalenciano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Barry McDermott in the 91st minute. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Magusteiro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Barry McDermott was slow to take the kick. During this time scvalenciano's players had a chance to rest. In the 96th match minute, SC Magusteiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuntet Prabaya to maneuver through the defense. Barry McDermott took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Chagas. SC Magusteiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee ended the match the scvalenciano players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
