Hipólito Figueira came out of the goal and Joacim Mårtensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the match, Ceuta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saúl França came free, but Hipólito Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vaiamonte FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Hermes Cruz scored to the left of an out of position Hélder Vasques, making the score, 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, Vaiamonte FC's Joacim Mårtensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hipólito Figueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Rui Estrela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaiamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Estrela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes, Vaiamonte FC's Leonel Álvares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hipólito Figueira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vaiamonte FC reached it. Hipólito Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Cerqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 45 minutes, Leonel Álvares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vaiamonte FC and the Ceuta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Leonel Álvares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

A nice corner shot did that Leonel Álvares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hipólito Figueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee showed Teodoro Valério the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodoro Valério didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Hermes Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélder Vasques. Vaiamonte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermes Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Hipólito Figueira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rui Estrela showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 83 minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Saúl França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaiamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saúl França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Estrela hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Hilário Diegues notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Vaiamonte FC's Hélder Vasques. Hélder Vasques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vaiamonte FC played a much better game than Ceuta FC and deserved their victory. The Ceuta FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
