Teachers FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Aristides Martxel scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Zamora, making the score, 1-0. After 21 played minutes Teachers FC got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Fronczak. 23 minutes into the game, Fan Wen Quan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Donato Foddis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Aristides Martxel came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mariadeira Boavista FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Martxel couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Zamora made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Slawomir Zawadzki sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Teachers FC's Ricardo Zamora got control of the ball when Oliver Laferla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Telmo Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mariadeira Boavista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teachers FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mariadeira Boavista FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Donato Foddis had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Fan Wen Quan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Fan Wen Quan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Foddis. Mariadeira Boavista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fan Wen Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Teachers FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Severiano Camargo hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the game, Oliver Laferla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardo Zamora. Oliver Laferla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After having played for 40 minutes, Aristides Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariadeira Boavista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Martxel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Manuel Baião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Foddis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Slawomir Zawadzki made a kick off. If Priit Niilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Teachers FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariadeira Boavista FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Fan Wen Quan scored to the left of an out of position Donato Foddis, making the score, 2-3. In the 58th minute Oliver Laferla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zamora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Martxel in the 61st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Manuel Baião put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Donato Foddis. 71 minutes into the match, Mariadeira Boavista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Baião came free, but Donato Foddis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Teachers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Fronczak to maneuver through the defense. Teachers FC's Algot Johnsson was substituted for Ilie Păsărin. Teachers FC made a substitution. Sílvio Vilhena replaced Adalberto Barreto.
