In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winston Premium 100S's goalkeeper Álvaro Ribas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Teachers FC's Fan Wen Quan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Ribas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Winston Premium 100S's goal looked a bit too open when Fan Wen Quan came free, but Álvaro Ribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zamora made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Winston Premium 100S's zone, Fan Wen Quan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Ribas came out of the goal and Fan Wen Quan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Ribas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Baião's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes, Hilário Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winston Premium 100S and the Teachers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Teachers FC booed when Winston Premium 100S was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilário Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Manuel Baião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Manuel Baião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Álvaro Ribas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 24 minutes, Fan Wen Quan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teachers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fan Wen Quan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from João Sarmento in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Teachers FC's Severiano Camargo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gusmão Sá got free with Ricardo Zamora in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Álvaro Ribas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fan Wen Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fan Wen Quan scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Ribas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teachers FC's Ricardo Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Sá in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Winston Premium 100S's goal looked a bit too open when Fan Wen Quan came free, but Álvaro Ribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Winston Premium 100S's Álvaro Ribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fan Wen Quan in the 44th minute of play. Fan Wen Quan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Ribas having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gusmão Sá to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Teachers FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Herbert Fronczak hit a great ball. Ricardo Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gusmão Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Manuel Baião made a precise shot to the right of Álvaro Ribas. Winston Premium 100S's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ovidiu Negara hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Winston Premium 100S's Álvaro Ribas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Winston Premium 100S from getting a goal against them. Teachers FC's Algot Johnsson was substituted for Ilie Păsărin. When Manuel Baião came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Teachers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Baião couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fan Wen Quan in the 82nd minute of play forced Winston Premium 100S's goalkeeper Álvaro Ribas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Teachers FC's Fan Wen Quan made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro Ribas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teachers FC made a substitution. Hüsnü Taş replaced Fan Wen Quan. Álvaro Ribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Baião in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Hüsnü Taş dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Álvaro Ribas, 0-6. The Teachers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Teachers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
