The audience thought a goal was coming when Pitt Silvi got free with Rui Patrício in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute Octávio Castilho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Niclas Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lizabona Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Lizabona Futebol Clube booed when S.L.Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball.
