With a little luck, FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho got control of the ball when Sílvio Póvoas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesualdo Mourato was the one to do the kick off. Alípio Palha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Peralta's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rui Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Galaxy's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alípio Palha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Peralta in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alípio Palha saved Academia Dragões-FLF from getting behind. Alípio Palha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Guarda in the 64th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Sílvio Peralta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Peralta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-3 became the score in the 72nd minute when Sílvio Peralta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tomás Rebocho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesualdo Mourato, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over FC Galaxy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Academia Dragões-FLF throughout the match.
