Modestas Gotautas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Vidal in the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Rui Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sport Clube Encarnacense's Modestas Gotautas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Peralta in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Sport Clube Encarnacense getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rogério Soeiro hit a great ball. Modestas Gotautas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Peralta's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Tomás Rebocho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Lisandro Brochado could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Tomás Rebocho however easily saved by the left post. The corner ended in Fabiano Esteves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Esteves in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Rebocho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Matias Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Rebocho. FC Galaxy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Tomás Rebocho stood somewhat misplaced when Fabiano Esteves came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 36 minute. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Peralta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Modestas Gotautas was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Jarbas Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Modestas Gotautas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Ribas helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes FC Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Ribas. A collision led to FC Galaxy getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Vali Chiuzbaian hit a great ball. Fabiano Esteves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomás Rebocho. FC Galaxy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Lisandro Brochado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Modestas Gotautas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Fabiano Esteves notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho. Tomás Rebocho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sílvio Peralta's late challenge caught a Sport Clube Encarnacense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Clube Encarnacense's zone, Sílvio Peralta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modestas Gotautas came out of the goal and Sílvio Peralta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sport Clube Encarnacense made a substitution. Alexandre Soveral replaced Matias Albuquerque. If Fabiano Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Cristiano Noronha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Encarnacense's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Azenha came free, but Modestas Gotautas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on FC Galaxy's corner Hernández Salmeron fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Modestas Gotautas quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Soveral in the 94th minute of play forced FC Galaxy's goalkeeper Tomás Rebocho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, FC Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Freire came free, but Tomás Rebocho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sport Clube Encarnacense booed when FC Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Hellgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Clube Encarnacense fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Galaxy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
