Cristóvão Palma was a little too slow when Armandinho Mota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Gonçalves in the 46th minute of play forced SC Valdreu's goalkeeper Isidoro Isusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armandinho Mota was the one to do the kick off. Cristóvão Palma came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Valdreu's Armandinho Mota. But to his dismay, Armandinho Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 60 minutes into the match, Lapas's Ilídio Quaresma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidoro Isusko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lapas's goalkeeper Cristóvão Palma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Encina, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Unai Encina during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unai Encina kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Basílio Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
