Adolfo Tomé was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Meireles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valboense FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Tomé, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute Erubiel Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Tomé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Valboense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Meireles came free, but Adolfo Tomé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valboense FC's Adolfo Tomé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Meireles in the 27th minute of play. Erubiel Chorche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Carlos Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Tomé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Carlos Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Angrense's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Tomé breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Mangueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Meireles struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Adolfo Tomé didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Angrense. Adolfo Tomé showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Meireles in the 55th minute of the match. Carlos Meireles struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, SC Angrense's Carlos Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adolfo Tomé made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 87 minutes of play, SC Angrense's Carlos Meireles made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Tomé was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes SC Angrense got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Leme. If Carlos Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Tomé having to interfere. There was no doubt that SC Angrense were the better team. SC Angrense's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
