Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4750, Seating: 1230, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Poças started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Saraiva got free with Alexandrino Amado in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4thth minute of the game Alexandre Poças who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valcerto's Gentil Vital was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Poças in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gentil Vital saved Valcerto from getting behind. With his leg Alexandrino Amado managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Valcerto's Aristides Saraiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valcerto's Gentil Vital played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Poças in the 13th minute of play. Alex Rebocho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gentil Vital tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Alexandre Poças managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alexandrense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Poças was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Tieri struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gentil Vital didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandrense. Valcerto's Gentil Vital played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Poças in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Rui Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Vital saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandrense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Aristides Saraiva scored to the left of an out of position Alexandrino Amado, making the score, 1-0. Alexandre Poças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gentil Vital having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Rui Amaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gentil Vital. Valcerto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Amaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 46th match minute, Valcerto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Castilho to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Poças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Laureano was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Alexandrense getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alex Rebocho hit a great ball. Gentil Vital made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Fiúza in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Alex Tieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Vital saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Damião Paião managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valcerto's supporters rose to their feet, but Damião Paião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandrino Amado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandrense made a substitution. Silvano Pestana replaced Rui Amaro. If Alexandre Poças had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Pestana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Gentil Vital made a huge save. Alexander Castellazzi scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gentil Vital, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gentil Vital showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Poças, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Alexandrense's Silvano Pestana got a free kick in the 77th minute. The supporters of Valcerto booed when Alexandrense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Infante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandrino Amado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damião Paião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 87 minutes, Damião Paião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valcerto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damião Paião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Alexandrense got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Fiúza. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
