Igor Balsemão might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Catarino Assunção. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catarino Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Lessa went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Carlos Fontes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Paulo Cardoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Catarino Assunção came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Cardoso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Paulo Cardoso in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Catarino Assunção, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th minute, Donato Fiúza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Sopegal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Hermano Carrasqueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Catarino Assunção. The goal made the score 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Cardoso got free with Catarino Assunção in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Fiúza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Catarino Assunção having to make a save. Catarino Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Cardoso in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Paulo Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Lousada's Catarino Assunção was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Januário Liberato made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Lessa during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Januário Liberato in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adão Leite saved SC Sopegal from getting behind. Paulo Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Catarino Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Carlos Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, SC Sopegal's goalkeeper Adão Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aprígio Caiado. SC Sopegal's Adão Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Januário Liberato in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sopegal's zone, Aprígio Caiado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adão Leite came out of the goal and Aprígio Caiado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes SC Lousada got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Brás. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aprígio Caiado got free with Adão Leite in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, David Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Fiúza missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 76 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Catarino Assunção right hand side. Nicolas Torcato lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 78th minute, one of SC Lousada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Lousada. The referee gave SC Sopegal a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Donato Fiúza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Lousada's Catarino Assunção. 5-0. Porfírio Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. SC Lousada's Catarino Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Fiúza in the 87th minute of play. Gusmão Prestes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, SC Sopegal's goalkeeper Adão Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aprígio Caiado. SC Sopegal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Lousada for a fine match.
