The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Bespeira FC's Gerald Dilling in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Sopegal's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of SC Sopegal booed when Bespeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Horta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Arne Chamberlain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bespeira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Sopegal the free kick. After 10 played minutes Bespeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Arne Chamberlain. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Walter Sigurjonsdottir sped through SC Sopegal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adão Leite. Walter Sigurjonsdottir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adão Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odod Wijatmiko in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, SC Sopegal's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Sigurjonsdottir came free, but Adão Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerald Dilling blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adão Leite having to make a save. Adão Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Sigurjonsdottir's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, SC Sopegal's goal looked a bit too open when Gerald Dilling came free, but Adão Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurentino Barcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adão Leite having to interfere. After the first half Bespeira FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Balsemão to make the kick off. SC Sopegal's Donato Fiúza got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerald Dilling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gerald Dilling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Sigurjonsdottir did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Adão Leite 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, SC Sopegal's goalkeeper Adão Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Sigurjonsdottir. Odod Wijatmiko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Adão Leite made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, Bespeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Walter Sigurjonsdottir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leal Borba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adão Leite. SC Sopegal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gerald Dilling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Adão Leite made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Hermano Carrasqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sopegal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bespeira FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Sopegal's Hermano Carrasqueira got a free kick in the 95th minute. After 97 played minutes Bespeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Fonseca. The SC Sopegal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bespeira FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
