The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Leal Vilela fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Tuga FC's protests and gave Leal Vilela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Sporting Tuga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leal Vilela to maneuver through the defense. After 6 minutes of play, Sporting Tuga FC's Carlos Figueiredo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julião Vidigal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Sporting Tuga FC's Carlos Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julião Vidigal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 23 minutes into the game, Carlos Figueiredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Julião Vidigal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Carlos Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sporting Tuga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes, Albertino Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NewBarcel and the Sporting Tuga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to NewBarcel getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Albertino Palmeira hit a great ball. Carlos Figueiredo in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julião Vidigal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Sporting Tuga FC booed when NewBarcel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Figueiredo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Carlos Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Tuga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After 55 minutes, Carlos Figueiredo made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side.
