Sporting CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aprígio Caiado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Rodrigo Brás's late challenge caught a Sporting CP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lourenço Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio Martins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
