Danilo Fidalgo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Marzulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Marzulli scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Fidalgo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of F. C. Dragon Force booed when FC Zinde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Quintela didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentim Barros in the 29th minute of play forced FC Zinde's goalkeeper Danilo Fidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes, Hermano Veríssimo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F. C. Dragon Force and the FC Zinde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dragon Force's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Fidalgo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Saraiva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 41st playminute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juliano Poças to make the kick off.
