Dragon Force's Hildeberto Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save F. C. Dragon Force from getting a goal against them. Almiro Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Marzulli in the 19th minute of play. Inter Porto's Almiro Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentim Barros in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Valter Campelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Hildeberto Gueifão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Almiro Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Rebocho in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentim Barros in the 28th minute of play forced Inter Porto's goalkeeper Almiro Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Inter Porto's Romão Nóbrega got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 35th match minute, Inter Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Fontoura to maneuver through the defense. F. C. Dragon Force's Elias Rebocho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Inter Porto. Hermano Veríssimo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Fontoura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Porto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F. C. Dragon Force the free kick. Almiro Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, F. C. Dragon Force's Fabio Marzulli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Almiro Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Avelar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabio Marzulli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Almiro Guimarães came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabio Marzulli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. Valentim Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentim Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes F. C. Dragon Force got a freekick which was hit by Valentim Barros. The supporters of F. C. Dragon Force booed when Inter Porto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Fontoura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Elias Rebocho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Inter Porto's Almiro Guimarães didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fabio Marzulli managed to get in a good position for a shot. F. C. Dragon Force's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Marzulli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almiro Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentim Barros in the 79th minute of play forced Inter Porto's goalkeeper Almiro Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almiro Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Marzulli, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Almiro Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Rebocho in the 83rd minute. F. C. Dragon Force's Hildeberto Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Campelo in the 86th minute of play. With 89 minutes on the clock, Domingos Estrela commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Hildeberto Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Caiado in the 94th minute of the match. The F. C. Dragon Force supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F. C. Dragon Force would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
