The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Esteves got free with Leandro Meireles in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Poças in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Brochado saved CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS from getting behind. António Brochado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Poças's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9thth minute of the game Miguel Poças who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's António Brochado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Carneiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's Leandro Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Rego in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Miguel Poças left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jorge Esteves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Leandro Meireles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Evandro Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Miguel Poças shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Brochado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jorge Esteves put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leandro Meireles. Manuel Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manuel Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. António Brochado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 53 played minutes Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos got a freekick which was hit by Rui Trigueiro. Jorge Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Esteves in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Meireles saved Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos from getting behind. CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afonso Nunes took the corner. Raimundo Vilarinho's late challenge caught a Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Vilarinho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Vilarinho to maneuver through the defense. CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Poças was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederico Leitão during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frederico Leitão hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. António Brochado made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Miguel Poças sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cruz de Cristo-Carvalhos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
