After 13 minutes AC79 Avanca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Teles who took care of the corner kick. Sebastião Teles made a great header on BoavistaPorto FC's corner, it was just that AC79 Avanca's Anier Abaurre managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th minute Ola Möllgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Adelino Rijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Abaurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Teles in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Hugo Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Abaurre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yuriy Gorbachev was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to AC79 Avanca getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Ola Möllgren hit a great ball. Dida Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Ming Mo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, BoavistaPorto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Resende to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, AC79 Avanca's Henrique Raminhos got a free kick in the 65th minute. Yu Ming Mo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of BoavistaPorto FC booed when AC79 Avanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Plácido Rios hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Sebastião Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
