The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rene Sal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Costa in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Noronha in the 12th minute of play forced Branca's goalkeeper Rene Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Branca's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Costa came free, but Rene Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Isac Guarda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Sal. Branca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isac Guarda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bruno Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Sal having to interfere. Rene Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Noronha in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Tim Van Vyve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rene Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Noronha in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Branca's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Guarda came free, but Rene Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Costa during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Luso FC's Carlos Peseiro got control of the ball when Petruț Miulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Bruno Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Sal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half Luso FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petruț Miulescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Isac Guarda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Rene Sal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 54th minute, Simão Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petruț Miulescu in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cássio Noronha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rene Sal. That made the score 0-4 in the 68 minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Leonardo Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Branca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luso FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Branca's Leonardo Ramalho got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Isac Guarda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Rene Sal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Branca's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bruno Costa 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Luso FC's zone, Petruț Miulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Peseiro came out of the goal and Petruț Miulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Branca's Rene Sal got control of the ball when Cássio Noronha tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luso FC's Cássio Noronha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Sal. That made the score 0-6 after 85 minutes of play. Isac Guarda scored 0-7 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Sal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Isac Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Figueiras hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
