The audience was convinced that Gorka Mendieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Gatti was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Joaquim Raminhos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hauk Thuen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Alonso in the 30th minute of play. 30 minutes in the game, Moises Alonso dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s goal looked a bit too open when Moises Alonso came free, but Hauk Thuen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gorka Mendietas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Orlando Gatti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 36 minutes into the game, FutebolZone's Moises Alonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hauk Thuen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Alford Johnson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Guarda during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquim Raminhos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Hauk Thuen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Hauk Thuen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Alonso in the 62nd minute of play. Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorka Mendieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 71st minute Moises Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hauk Thuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Cristiano Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moises Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FutebolZone players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
