Guilherme Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, David De Boeck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Sacramento. fig team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David De Boeck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, Beira Mar SC's Ciccio Mascia made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico Sacramento was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, fig team's Ricardo Gomes got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Hipólito Amado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipólito Amado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Sacramento having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Ricardo Gomes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sálvio Vilas Boas skillfully saved the ball. Eurico Sacramento came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Beira Mar SC's Hipólito Amado. But to his dismay, Hipólito Amado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 29th minute, Durval Lobato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Beira Mar SC booed when fig team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciccio Mascia took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Sacramento. Eurico Sacramento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipólito Amado in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of fig team booed when Beira Mar SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Torcato didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David De Boeck in the 39th minute of play forced fig team's goalkeeper Eurico Sacramento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David De Boeck in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico Sacramento was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Beira Mar SC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, David De Boeck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eurico Sacramento. David De Boeck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Torcato got free with Eurico Sacramento in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hipólito Amado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the game, fig team's Edgar Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sálvio Vilas Boas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Alexandre Torcato took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Sacramento. Eurico Sacramento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Alexandre Torcato had several of the fig team's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-8 score and a disappointed Eurico Sacramento as he didn't even see the shot coming. Beira Mar SC made a substitution. Caio Barroso replaced Pedro Lucena. The audience thought a goal was coming when David De Boeck got free with Eurico Sacramento in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eurico Sacramento came out of the goal and Ciccio Mascia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
