Spectators: 7852 (Terracing: 6010, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Aragão got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd match minute, Sporting CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Moura to maneuver through the defense. 3 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Peseiro came free, but Pedro Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting CP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vicente Roriz was slow to take the kick. During this time Cachaceiros F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. Cachaceiros F. C.'s Vicente Roriz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Ortiz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Aragão in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting CP booed when Cachaceiros F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Peseiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Ceustermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Frederik Ceustermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Manuel Aragão came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Cachaceiros F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Aragão couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Nogueira in the 22nd minute of play forced Sporting CP's goalkeeper Pedro Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting CP's Pedro Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Peseiro in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Sporting CP's Laureano Lopes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Pedro Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Peseiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Roriz in the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Joaquim Mascarenhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting CP's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Mascarenhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute Rui Peseiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, Cachaceiros F. C.'s Vicente Roriz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute Manuel Aragão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederik Ceustermans scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Peseiro in the 47th minute of play forced Sporting CP's goalkeeper Pedro Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 53rd minute, Raimundo Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting CP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 58th minute Vicente Roriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Cachaceiros F. C.'s Vicente Roriz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Ortiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 63rd minute, Hugo Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachaceiros F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 68th minute, Manuel Aragão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Ortiz. The goal made the score 3-4. With a little luck, Sporting CP's Pedro Ortiz got control of the ball when Vicente Roriz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Cachaceiros F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Mascarenhas came free, but Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting CP's Pedro Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting CP from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Laureano Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Peseiro took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Ortiz. Pedro Ortiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. Frederik Ceustermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Seyfi Ulubay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Mascarenhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Roriz came free, but Pedro Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cachaceiros F. C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
