After 30 minutes, Durval Lobato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the fig team and the Sul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes fig team got a freekick which was hit by Durval Lobato. 34 minutes into the match, Sul's Pinto da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico Sacramento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pinto da Costa in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Esteves in the 37th minute of play forced fig team's goalkeeper Eurico Sacramento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Eurico Sacramento made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Paolo-César Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 80 minutes, Durval Lobato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fig team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Lobato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivo Prestes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durval Lobato's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Ricardo Carneiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eurico Sacramento firmly grabbed it by the left post. 95 minutes into the match, fig team's goalkeeper Eurico Sacramento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Carneiro. fig team's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
