When Jaime Luz fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fig team's protests and gave Jaime Luz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, fig team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Luz to maneuver through the defense. After 5th play minutes Ernst Günther shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Eurico Sacramento and just under the crossbar into goal. Eurico Sacramento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Sarabia in the 8th minute. Eurico Sacramento came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Marialva S.C.'s Pablo Sarabia. But to his dismay, Pablo Sarabia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Ernst Günther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Marialva S.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Miguel Veloso hit a great ball. fig team's Jaime Luz got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Jaime Luz off the ground. After 29 played minutes fig team got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Luz. After having played for 31 minutes, Pablo Sarabia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marialva S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Pablo Sarabia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Sacramento was a little too slow when Manuel Ruas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 37th minute, Manuel Ruas made a precise shot to the right of Eurico Sacramento. fig team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. fig team's Eurico Sacramento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save fig team from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Marialva S.C. booed when fig team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ricardo Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Marialva S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Quaresma couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernst Günther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo Sarabia took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Sacramento. Eurico Sacramento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 62 minutes into the match, Marialva S.C.'s Manuel Ruas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico Sacramento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eurico Sacramento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Ruas in the 67th minute of play. Eurico Sacramento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernst Günther went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Juvenal Campos scored 8-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eurico Sacramento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Günther in the 74th minute of play. Eurico Sacramento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Günther in the 78th minute of the match. Manuel Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Eurico Sacramento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Sarabia in the 85th minute of play forced fig team's goalkeeper Eurico Sacramento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes fig team got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Gomes. 91 minutes into the match, fig team's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Günther came free, but Eurico Sacramento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Sacramento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Sarabia in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, fig team's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Campos came free, but Eurico Sacramento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marialva S.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
