António Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Quintas got free with Rafael Franco in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Albert Karapetkov put it in 1-9 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Franco. Artur Horta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rafael Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in União Caparica's zone, Caio Caldas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidónio Maltez came out of the goal and Caio Caldas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raul Carvalhais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidónio Maltez having to interfere. António Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Franco having to interfere.
