After 3 played minutes Encourados got a freekick which was hit by Rubim Colaço. Emmerich Hatschek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Catarino Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sport Maia fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Sport Maia's Emmerich Hatschek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Catarino Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lavallén Pelon in the 9th minute of play. Lavallén Pelon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Catarino Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Ferreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emmerich Hatschek went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 16thth minute of the game Emmerich Hatschek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Encourados's Catarino Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emmerich Hatschek struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Catarino Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Maia. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emmerich Hatschek got free with Catarino Ferreira in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emmerich Hatschek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Catarino Ferreira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute of the match Geraldo Ramires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Gaúcho skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Emmerich Hatschek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Catarino Ferreira. Emmerich Hatschek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. With his leg Catarino Ferreira managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Sport Maia's Emmerich Hatschek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 35th minute, Lavallén Pelon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Maia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Encourados's Catarino Ferreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Encourados from getting a goal against them. Emmerich Hatschek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Catarino Ferreira made a huge save. If Altino Damásio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emmerich Hatschek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Ferreira having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emmerich Hatschek made a kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Emmerich Hatschek sped through Encourados's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Catarino Ferreira. Catarino Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmerich Hatschek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catarino Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmerich Hatschek, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 57th match minute, Encourados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Brites to maneuver through the defense. Emmerich Hatschek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Emmerich Hatschek sped through Encourados's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Catarino Ferreira. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Emmerich Hatschek put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Catarino Ferreira. When Sport Maia's Emmerich Hatschek in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Encourados's goalie prevented a goal. Sport Maia made a substitution. Herberto Trigueiro replaced Apolo Bihar. If Emmerich Hatschek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Encourados were awarded a corner. Geraldo Ramires went to the cornerflag to take it. 83 minutes into the game, Sport Maia's Emmerich Hatschek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Catarino Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. William Gaúcho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Mesquita in the 87th minute. Sport Maia's Emmerich Hatschek got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emmerich Hatschek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Jerónimo Avelar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Emmerich Hatschek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Catarino Ferreira was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. Catarino Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emmerich Hatschek's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sport Maia fully deserved thier win.
